We work in partner ship with our local Parish Church who gift us with a part time Chaplain, Ruth Parnell

Ruth leads collective worship and at our end of term church services as well as a weekly Faith and Fun club. she also offers mentoring , transition support for Year 6 , circle times in Reception , Bible study for school parents and supports staff in their theological understanding and conversation around our Christian vison . She has initiated an annual staff appreciation week which we have all enjoyed!!

Ruth has developed Junior Chaplains where representatives form each years group regularly meet to reflect on the effectiveness of our school vison and how we can show this in our actions. They have created Christmas prayer reflections around school as well as initiating playground games to include children from all years groups. They particularly enjoy planning and leading a termly collective worship.

Ruth is currently studying an MA in Chaplaincy and uses her studies to reflect on her practice as a Chaplin with ways to support us to be a spiritually flourishing school.
