Reception , year 1 and year 2 children are entitled to universal free school meals.

Packed Lunches

As an alternative to a school meal, pupils may bring packed lunches. These should be brought in named plastic containers with still (not fizzy) drinks in unbreakable containers. We encourage the children to eat a healthy diet and discourage chocolate and sweet snacks in packed lunches. Research shows that children are more able to concentrate on their learning after lunch if they have eaten a healthy midday meal, including fruit and/or raw vegetables. We are a nut free school and would ask that no child has nuts or nut based products in their packed lunch.

Snacks

All children are welcome to bring a snack for mid-morning break. The school operates a healthy eating policy and the snack must consist of either fruit or vegetables. Foundation and Key Stage 1 children are supplied free with fresh fruit on a daily basis.

Water

Children are encouraged to bring water in a named sports top bottle to drink at any time and to aid their concentration.
